Otoifuji

Otoifuji sits on the southwestern foothills of Mt Otoifuji in Otoineppu Village, a quiet corner of Northern Hokkaido. The mountain is small and straightforward—one pair lift serving three runs that are almost entirely beginner terrain, with a modest 230m of vertical. The longest run stretches 1200m and the steepest pitch sits at 30°, so there's nothing demanding here. The split between skiers and snowboarders is even, and the vibe is decidedly local and low-key.

Night skiing is available Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with operations running from 9:30am to 4:30pm most days and extending to 8pm on weekend nights. There are no snow park facilities, rental equipment, or on-mountain lessons—this is a stripped-down operation. The resort is normally closed Mondays unless a national holiday falls on one. If you're chasing powder or looking for varied terrain, this isn't the place.
