Fukui Izumi

Fukui Izumi sits in eastern Fukui Prefecture and has built a solid reputation as a snowboarder's mountain—70% of the rider split reflects that draw. The Doberman Park sits off the quad lift and offers a range of features, while ungroomed powder areas toward the summit appeal to riders looking for something less manicured. Snow conditions tend to be reliable in this region, and the base area includes a dedicated kids park and 24-hour changing facilities.

The mountain is straightforward: two chairlifts service six runs across beginner, intermediate, and advanced terrain in roughly equal measure. Longest run clocks 1500 meters. There's no night skiing, and operations run 8:30am–4:30pm on weekdays, 8:00am–4:30pm on weekends. It's a small, focused hill that works well for a day trip or a local's mountain, but don't expect the scale or variety of larger resorts in the region.
