Inosawa Shimin

Inosawa Shimin is a small neighborhood ski area in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido, serving mostly local families and beginners. The terrain is almost entirely gentle, making it an approachable place to learn or get kids comfortable on snow. A single rope tow handles the modest vertical, and the hill operates daily from 10am to 4pm through the winter season.

The riding experience here is straightforward: one mellow run with no technical demands. There's a dedicated Kids Land for younger riders, and rental equipment is available on-site. This is not a destination mountain—it's a local utility hill where you'll find neighborhood skiers and snowboarders, not powder chasers or terrain hunters. If you're in Asahikawa and want a quick session or need to introduce someone to the sport, it works. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
