Hirugano Kogen

Hirugano Kogen sits in the northern Gujo City region of Gifu Prefecture, right alongside Route 158 with easy car access from the Kansai region. The mountain runs one quad and two pair lifts serving eight courses split between beginner and intermediate terrain—no advanced runs. The layout is straightforward and mellow, making it a solid choice for families and riders building fundamentals.

The base area includes Hirugamo Kids Land with a sledging course, snow escalator, and kamakura igloos, plus a cross course near the Number 3 pair lift. Snow-making supplements natural fall when needed. Riding here feels low-pressure and spacious, though the vertical is modest and there's no night skiing. Most visitors drive from Nagoya, Gifu, Shiga, Kyoto, or Osaka; train access is limited, so plan accordingly.
