Fu's is a compact urban resort just outside Sapporo where locals grab evening turns under lights. Cheap lift tickets and night skiing are the main draws, but limited terrain and modest elevation mean powder days matter most.

How it rides
Fu's sits on the outskirts of Sapporo, close enough for a quick session after work or a weekend escape from the city. The three pair lifts serve mellow beginner terrain and a handful of steeper runs, including the Dynamic Course which hits 38 degrees. Night skiing runs until 8:45pm, which extends your window if fresh snow is falling. The aspect is favorable—mostly north-northeast—so snow holds reasonably well even at this lower elevation.
The real appeal here is value and convenience. Day tickets are inexpensive, and you can buy 2, 3, 4, or 6-hour passes if you're just squeezing in a few runs. Intermediate and advanced riders will find the terrain limited; there are a couple of mogul runs and some tight tree options off the top lift, but nothing expansive. Off-piste riding within the resort boundary is sparse, though a small section skiers' right of the top lift offers some undisturbed play if you're willing to hunt for it.
Sapporo receives solid snowfall, and Fu's benefits from that, but the elevation—260 to 540 meters—means you'll want to time visits around fresh snow or recent storms. There's no accommodation at the hill; most riders base themselves in Sapporo proper or nearby Jozankei Onsen, about 12km west. The luge facility adjacent to the ski area is a unique local curiosity, a backup course from the 1972 Winter Olympics.
